The Paw Shop

A warm and friendly experience

This project/proof of concept was initially developed to showcase how a new visual brand and the optimized site could warm up and create a stronger bond with the user.

Moving away from the business-like look into the family/friendly attitude that could express the true value of the shop.

Tools in this project: Figma

The challenge

Initially, the challenge was to move away from the serious look and into the fun, cute, and friendly feeling that a customer would get when caring for a pet. The logo was the starting point to set the tone that would cue the adaptation of the colors and the mood board. Once these elements were in place, a more in-depth clean-up of the site would ensue.

Here is a brief example of the animated prototype, and some of the transitions that were selected.

The solution

Having the visual aspect covered, the next phase was to transfer the visual into the existing site while organizing the information in blocks that would guide the user in the browsing process.

Keeping the customer in mind while having design conversations, and considering the feelings and potential thoughts of the visitor kept the focus on the message, and helped in tricky spots, for example, when choosing between photography stock, text prompts, and animations. The result then was animated, to show the client how elements would transform over time and to give a closer look into what the the visitor would see when landing on the site.
